Пособие рассчитано на широкий круг лиц, начинающих изучать русский язык как неродной. Оно состоит из 5 уроков вводно-фонетического курса и 20 уроков лексико-грамматического курса. Каждый урок включает тексты, диалоги, разнообразные речевые задания и упражнения. В повторительных уроках (5, 10, 15, 20) даны сводные грамматические таблицы. Словарь содержит около 2000 слов и словосочетаний. INTRODUCTION TO THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE COURSE FOR FOREIGNERS Introduction to the Russian Language teaches basic reading, writing and speaking skills to beginners. The course consists of 250 — 300 lessons, each 45 minutes-long, which can be used as part of a Russian language class or for use independently. The textbook consists of five phonetic lessons for beginners (part I) and 20 lessons of a lexical and grammatical course (part II), both of which focus on teaching students how to speak and read, everyday spoken Russian. The content and volume of materials of this course meet the Russian government's educational standard for teaching Russian as a foreign language: — A set of propositions and intentions; — A set of the language means realizing selected propositions and intentions; — Situations of dialogue; — Themes and types of monological and dialogical texts. The purpose of a phonetic course for beginners is aimed to teach to hear and pronounce Russian sounds: — Correctly pronounce Russian words, observing an accent and rhythmic of a word; — To use a correct intonation in order to make statements in Russian; — To be phonetically correct, while reading words, groups of words, sentences, small texts; — To write words, sentences and texts in Russian letters. In the beginning lexical and grammar material of this course is presented on the principal "from the content to the form" and "from the intention to the means of its expression"; therefore paragraphs in lessons 1—10 have titles: "How to name a subject", "How to name an action", "How to designate the scene of an action", etc. In lessons 11—20 the educational material is organized on the principle "from the form to the content"; here extension, generalization and systematiza-tion of the language facts and phenomena are carried out according to systematic linguistics.
